I am sure that you have all heard about this, but Logsitall is a pretty cool site that acts as your log book. It goes by named workout and .com daily workout. You can see how you rank against other people, but most importantly, you see how you've improved against yourself. (After all, this is where the real competition is.) Any way, the part I like most about is you can track the non-named wods pretty easily.
Also, I am getting on the Jeromy kick with new shoes. I think the weights break down the cross trainers too quickly, and I am not sure the air soles are helpful. Any way, has anyone picked a pair of shoes that they like as all around. Not ready to go in for lifting shoes. I saw a couple of post for pumas (with the thin soles).
Passing on the info from V that practice is thurs @ 7 and Sat @ 1:30.

Yes, I know, I've tried a bunch of shoes. Lance is hilarious! Anyway, I like the free trainers I have been wearing. They seem to be pretty good for all around. Not too squishy so they are decent to run in and good for the lateral stuff that we do with V. I thought the DC skate shoes were pretty good to lift in but were shitty for lateral movements and running. Christina always says the indoor soccer shoes are good but I've never tried them. Lance, you tried those, right? I guess I like the frees the best.
Yeah, I have used the Adidas Samba Milleniums. They are decent for lifts and I ran the 5x100 sprints. They turned out okay, just tighten the hell out of them or they slide, but no pain in the runs and no shift in the oh squats. Haven't been able to find the frees. For the lifts barefoot worked okay, but I know what goes on that floor. I'm surprised that I haven't gotten an infection yet.
The frees don't slide. I got mine at the nike store in valley fair and before off the nike website.
I am gonna try out the pimp shoes that are in the picture. I think I am going to do the .com at school tomorrow. I'll let you know how they do. They have next to no sole.
I'm gonna jump in and agree with Jeromy. I've been really happy with the Nike Free Trainers. They are great for V's mind games, I mean warm-ups. There have been a couple of times I've gone without them, barefoot, for a final lift because they have a little give when you are going heavy and feel a little unstable. With all that being said, Jeromy and I will understand if you don't want to be cool like us.
Jeromy and Jim,
I would love to jump on the band wagon, but when I went to get a pair at the valley fair Nike store, they told me two big dudes took the last pairs. As for the sambas and the puma sppedcats, bot are working out pretty well. I did the .com thruster wod with the pumas. Pretty good. I think the only draw back will be on 800+ meter runs
Sounds like we need more research and testing to determine the best possible all around shoe. Lance, keep us updated on the speedcat. Cuz I'm sure it's the shoes that are causing me to suck so bad at GHD's.
